Why DTV Will Enrage Many

The coming rage:

TV stations serving all markets in the United States are airing digital television programming today, although most will continue to provide analog programming through February 17, 2009.

Will I Need a New TV if I Have an Analog TV? When full-power broadcast stations stop analog service, you still will be able to use your analog TV with a set-top converter box.

I think people will go nutty when they learn they have to pay extra to watch television with their old TV.
Or do you think it won’t make any difference since so many people use cable in the US?
Only 58.9% in the US have cable TV.
