Bloggers: Energize Yourself

We’ve arrived. It’s Friday, — make that Thursday, January 31, 2008. One month done; eleven more to go. This year is zooming by. How’s your energy? Are you as refreshed as you were when you kicked off the New Year on January 1, 2008?
As bloggers, it’s important to keep our energy level high so that we can deliver our very best work to our readers. I came across an interesting article about 20 Foods to Snack on For Enhanced Productivity over at founded by Leon Ho. Since productivity and blogging go hand in hand, I thought you might enjoy this article.
I loved all the foods on the list. I don’t typically eat while I’m working, but when I take a break, I love to snack on nuts, berries, and popcorn. I don’t think popcorn is a particularly energizing food, but it is my favorite snack.

    I never used to like nuts growing up, but I’ve found a new appreciation for them in the last years.
    Luckily I work at a company that supplies free snacks to us, one of which are bags of cashews, almonds and peanuts. Great to keep me going when the 2pm crash happens.

    Wow, it is hard to believe that a month is over!
    I guess more and more blogges should really need to energize themselves. Not much of them post regularly, while keeping up the good work and sharing great content. Just like you, and some other marketers like James Brausch, Michel Fortin, etc. Thanks, Volkan Kalpak

    Yes, it can be a challenge to blog on a regular basis. My secret … not anymore… typically I sit down and blog out many posts at a time and then schedule them to post out in the future.
    I find that I do my best writing when I can focus for an hour or two at a time. I typically divide my time into research and writing — doing each at different times of the week – at times when I feel most inspired. I typically like to do my writing early in the morning — and before I even eat breakfast!
    Speaking of blogging and energy — maybe I should run a poll on to find out more about when people do their best power blogging.

    Aru, you would absolutely be correct. It has felt like Friday all day because my weekly 3-hour Friday conference call was moved this one time to today, Thursday, and I think my brain and calendar moved with it. Okay that’s two errors in this post — I hope there aren’t any more. Thanks for pointing that out. 🙂 (I think I really want it to be Friday — closer to the weekend!)

    I find my best energizing foods are emergency c, protein smoothy with some greens and other energizers. The only thing about snacking on nuts is if you have any allergies to nuts. Anyway new here and I like yor blog.

    Since buying a pedometer, recently, and walking 10,000 steps per day, I find that I have more energy and can think clearer when writing my blog.

    I’m just a newbie and for me it would be ice cream! It’s cold that’s why I like it. It makes me awake and energized. Eating much or after lunch makes me feel really sleepy, so I’m just spent the rest of the day doing nothing.
