With services like BlogAds and AdBrite that allow advertisers to reach collections of blogs grouped aroud a single topic it was only a matter of time before Google added this in to the AdSense mix:

This seems to be a program that clusters similar sites together to be sold to advertisers as a package. It is based around 300 x 250 pixel rectangle image and text ad units.

I hope they have some sort of smart-matching system that can check surfing trends and automatch publishers.
