If I pay to connect to the Net with a certain quality of service, and you pay to connect with that or greater quality of service, then we can communicate at that level.

    Not to nitpick, but Tim Berners-Lee is the inventor of the WWW, not the internet.

    It’s a fair point, he got us on the web rather than the underlying technology. Still, I think it would be horrendous to lose net neutrality. We must support this goal.

    If Berners-Lee is fine with paying for quality of service, why did the Markey and Snowe amendments explicitly ban charges for quality of service?
