CBS rips on blogs (though if I remember correctly blogs are the ones that ripped them first – Dan Rather, that’s your credibility flushing down the toilet):
[S]ome of the internet’s politics-oriented blogs, no doubt high on the perfume of many “hits” and their own developing sense of community, envisioned a future when they would diminish then replace the traditional media as the nation’s primary source of political news and commentary.
Sort of like how news channels are now run under the same rating-focused war that reduces all public discourse to a black/white, us/them, ‘and now a message from our sponsors’ motif? Is there some kind of contest to see who can be the most self-important asshole – a
blogger or a pro-journalist?
